Recognition of world anatomy day 2019 was held in University of Medicine 1, Yangon, on 31st Oct, 2019, organized by Myanmar Anatomy Society (MAS). The team of department of Anatomy, UMTGI joined this event as a member of MAS. UMTGI students took part in the competition of poster display by preparing 3 different posters.
The retired senior anatomists, the heads of department of Anatomy from all medical universities and the honorable guests gave the scores to each displayed poster that was made by different medical universities. One of the posters of UMTGI won the first prize together with UM1. The students who prepared and presented the awarded poster were Mg Kyaw Khine Soe, Sai Linn Aung, Sai Hut Hut, Mg Han Lin Aung and Sai Ohm Seng Han from 1/2019 2nd MBBS batch.
On 14th Nov, 2019, the congratulation ceremony to poster winners were held at MaLiKha hall in UMTGI. The programs included the opening and praising speech by acting rector Prof. Dr. Si Si Htun, the extra-award giving to the winner students, the thankful speech by Mg Sai Hut Hut and the closing ceremony. In recent, the awarded poster was displayed in the histology practical room of department of Anatomy.
